• We believe in the trinity, God eternally existing as three equal persons in one.
• We believe God came into this world in Jesus Christ, fully God and fully human.
• We
believe all people sin and fall short of the glory of God, leaving us
in shattered relationships with God and with others, even leaving us
within our own self, unable to restore ourselves to God or to earn our
way into heaven.
• Yet
we believe God provided the means of salvation when Jesus died in
our place then rose from the dead, triumphing over sin and death
and judgment. This rescue is offered to all people for it is the
only means of salvation.
• We
believe in the work of the Holy Spirit, drawing us to the Savior, then
indwelling the believer, assuring us of our adoption as God’s own
children and changing us from the inside out.
• We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God, the infallible word of faith and life.
• We
affirm that we are called to love one another, so that the world might
see the love of God within us. Likewise, we are called to share
the good news of Jesus, so that others might hear the reason for the
hope that lies within us.
• We
affirm that God’s people are called to holiness in all aspects of life,
including what we think, what we say and what we do. In all
things we will seek to obey the instructions declared to us in God’s
Word (including the call to fidelity in marriage between a man and a
woman, or celibacy outside of marriage).
• We
believe that men and women are created in God’s image, that human life
begins at conception and that every life has immeasurable value.
Thus, in decisions about life and death, the sanctity of life of both
the mother and child must be respected, and every effort to preserve
their lives should be made.
